Palliative Drugs
Palliativedrugs.com was established in 2000 as a companion website to the Palliative Care Formulary (PCF3) and provide an independent resource about drugs used in palliative and hospice care to over 13,000 Doctors, Nurses and Pharmacists worldwide.
Spanning over over 8 years our work with palliaitvedrugs.com was initially focused on Design, Branding and Interaction of the website and marketing. Recently we have been involved more with the digital strategy of the content and focused on the delivery and management of the PCF not only in English but soon multiple languages starting with a German translation of the PCF3.
3bit work in a retained capacity we provide support and management for the website and hosting as well as advising and consulting during our quarterly meetings. Part of the digital strategy is to manage the forumulary content in a way that made digital delivery quicker and updates for online and offline content more efficient.
In 2010 we embarked on a major update for the website to allow easily manipulation and management of the PCF3 content not only for the websites news, press but also the content from the PCF3 book in a format that would allow delivery as other electronic formats ie ebooks and ibooks. The current workflow used by palliativedrugs.com utilised Word Files together with Endnote, this has now been migrated to a bespoke e-publishing system via the CMS that allows the formulary to be managed with features included revision control, and footnote / bibliography linking via PUBmed, Content can then be published not only for the website but also as ePub, PDF / RTF / XML files.
CMS / CRM - the bespoke CMS / CRM system allows PD to manage the sites users and utilising the CRM focus the delivery of surveys, news alerts using our integrated Survey and Emailer Systems.
